HalalBerg Terminal
A Bloomberg-style terminal that screens and tracks Shariah-compliant stocks with live quotes, gold and silver spot prices and TradingView charts. Its halal screen uses real Finnhub fundamentals for sector exclusion and debt to liquid-assets ratios, and every number comes from a live provider at request time.
Overview
Install
Backend
cd backend
python -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
pip install -r requirements.txt
python manage.py migrate
Create backend/.env with your own API keys:
FINNHUB_API_KEY=your_key_here
GOLDAPI_KEY=your_key_here
Get a free key at finnhub.io and goldapi.io.
Frontend
cd frontend
npm install
Run both
./start.sh
Backend: http://localhost:8001 ยท Frontend: http://localhost:3000
To use the Portfolio page, add holdings via the Django admin:
cd backend && python manage.py createsuperuser
then visit http://localhost:8001/admin.
