MarkItDown Drop
A drag-and-drop web tool that converts PDF, Office, image, audio and data files into Markdown through a local Flask server and Microsoft's markitdown library. The server binds to 127.0.0.1, so no file leaves your machine, and a split view shows the raw Markdown beside a rendered preview.
Overview
Install
Run the launcher script:
./run.sh
The script creates a virtual environment in .venv, installs the dependencies, starts the server on http://127.0.0.1:5050, and opens a browser.
